The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jericho looking to score a takedown here. Kongo is defending well but Jericho drives through and ends up in Kongo's guard.
Kongo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Jericho decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kongo, up you get!

Jericho clinches up against the cage.
Jericho lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Kongo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Kongo won't allow Jericho to sweep him here.
Jericho manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kongo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jericho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jericho is looking to work his way around to Kongo's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Jericho is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kongo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jericho cracks Kongo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Kongo looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Jericho! Submission of the night perhaps?
