Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mr Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Azman Hazardi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hazardi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Hazardi lands a glancing blow to the side of Blue's head.
A jab from Hazardi misses.
Blue throws a hook but Hazardi blocks it.
Hazardi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blue.
Hazardi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A left lands for Hazardi.
Hazardi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blue's waist but Blue gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hazardi off to one side.
Hazardi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blue takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Blue is rocked!
Blue tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Oh Blue is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hazardi has managed to clinch.
Hazardi breaks the clinch.
Hazardi lands with a right and another and another! Blue is in big trouble! Hazardi lands again and this time it's lights out for Blue! A quality knockout there for Hazardi.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Azman Hazardi!
After winning the bout, Azman Hazardi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
