The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterwhacker misses with a low kick.
Michael Peterwhacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterwhacker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Green moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Peterwhacker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Green manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

No joy there for Peterwhacker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Peterwhacker tries to bum rush Green with a series of wild strikes but Green uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Peterwhacker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Peterwhacker throws a shot from downtown. Green moves away and avoids it.

Green has a takedown stuffed.
Green swats away the attempt to clinch by Peterwhacker.
Green misses with a hook. Peterwhacker ducked under it nicely.
Peterwhacker just misses with a punch to the body.
Peterwhacker moves out of range of the strikes.
Peterwhacker leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Peterwhacker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Green circles away quickly and effectively.

so Green counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Peterwhacker will probably get the nod.

and Peterwhacker counters with a crisp one two that drops Green! Peterwhacker thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Green to his feet! Green is in big trouble!

Green has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Peterwhacker knocks Green out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
