The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Smithis looking to pass into half guard but Nelson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Nelson is in guard.

Clifford Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nelson sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Smith to the ground! Nelson dives into full mount looking to finish!

Hoy Nelson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
