The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nie throws a head kick that misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Nie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Krzysztof Nie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tortuga tries a low kick but Nie avoids it.
Tortuga doesn't manage to clinch there - Nie circles away.

Nie cracks Tortuga with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Tortuga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tortuga somewhat.

Tortuga closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Tortuga drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
You can see the frustration on Nie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tortuga crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nie - the referee stops the clock and Tortuga gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nie. Tortuga manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tortuga steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nie. That one must have hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nie goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nie throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Tortuga walks into a stiff left hand from Nie.
Nie scores with a jab.
Tortuga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nie's waist but Nie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tortuga off to one side.
Tortuga will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Tortuga takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nie throws a right and a left that Tortuga avoids nicely.
Crunch! Nie slams his shin into Tortuga's torso.
Nie uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Nie looks to land a combination but Tortuga avoids it well.
Nie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nie, as that shot connected.

Tortuga blocks the body kick.
Tortuga shoots in for a double leg but Nie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tortuga looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Nie explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nie shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tortuga eats them both and turns towards Nie to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Nie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tortuga stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nie connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tortuga's face.
Tortuga tries to score a body lock takedown but Nie shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Krzysztof Nie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tortuga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nie as he avoids it easily.
Nie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nie punishes Tortuga's body with a nice straight punch.
Tortuga takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nie tries to bum rush Tortuga with a series of wild strikes but Tortuga uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nie scores with a sloppy right hand. Tortuga should have avoided that one.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tortuga.
Tortuga is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Tortuga takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Nie lands a left and a right that send Tortuga crashing to the mat, dazed. Nie thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Nie throws a powerful right kick. Tortuga tried to block low but the kick was high! Tortuga was taken right off of his feet! Nie jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
