And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Harry Kozar!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kozar.
Penn is looking to clinch but Kozar is avoiding it.
Kozar shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters up against the cage, Penn throws an elbow but misses.

Kozar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Penn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Penn shoots in looking for a takedown. Kozar tries to sprawl out of it but Penn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kozar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kozar is landing with some decent strikes but Penn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Kozar cracks Penn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Penn is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Kozar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kozar throwing strikes here but Penn is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Penn wants to control but Kozar is having none of it.
Harry Kozar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Baby Jay Penn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Penn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
