Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Mak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Mak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mak misses with an uppercut. Sanders saw that one coming.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanders enables Mak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanders manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanders swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mak postures up in Sanders's guard and throws a big left but Sanders blocks it.
Mak keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sanders's head.
Sanders looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mak is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanders is on top in guard.
Mak is trying to keep Sanders in close.
Mak preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Mak is looking for a triangle but Sanders pushes his legs off easily.
Sanders throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanders accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mak not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanders defends well.
Sanders lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Mak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mak looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanders is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanders postures up.
Mak is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sanders is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sanders content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sanders keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mak's head.

Mak wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanders got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanders has managed to get both his arms back between Mak's legs - danger averted.

Sanders is working Mak over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oh Mak is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanders loads up on a big left hand. Mak felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sanders looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mak can't hide his disappointment, as Sanders celebrates the victory.
