Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleto Rodriquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leko Pavicevic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cleto Rodriquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leko Pavicevic!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavicevic stuffs the takedown.
A combination from Pavicevic does no damage.
Pavicevic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rodriquez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodriquez.
Nice takedown defense from Pavicevic. No joy for Rodriquez on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cleto Rodriquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pavicevic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pavicevic is looking to clinch but Rodriquez is avoiding it.

Pavicevic lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rodriquez backs up against the cage.


It looks like Cleto Rodriquez has been cut.
Rodriquez shoots in but Pavicevic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pavicevic pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rodriquez back to the cage. Pavicevic follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rodriquez misses with a takedown attempt
and Pavicevic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Pavicevic gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rodriquez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Pavicevic has his foot on Rodriquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodriquez works his way back into a safe position though.

Pavicevic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rodriquez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rodriquez tries to free his leg and advance position but Pavicevic is retaining full guard.

Pavicevic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pavicevic is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rodriquez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pavicevic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rodriquez keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pavicevic wants to work for an arm triangle but Rodriquez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rodriquez tries to roll over but Pavicevic keeps him under control.

Pavicevic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pavicevic is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Pavicevic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rodriquez defends it well.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pavicevic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pavicevic is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Rodriquez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pavicevic's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pavicevic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pavicevic manages to end up in side control.
Pavicevic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rodriquez keeps working.

Pavicevic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pavicevic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pavicevic goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rodriquez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pavicevic but great work by Rodriquez.

Pavicevic is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rodriquez off and has taken his back!
Leko Pavicevic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Let's hope that Pavicevic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Leko Pavicevic wasn't active enough on the ground.

Leko Pavicevic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pavicevic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
