PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Siska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siska has chosen NJJD as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jonny Siska is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ping Pong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Siska!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siska tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Siska somewhat.
Pong tries for a takedown but Siska circles away easily

and Siska counters with a takedown into side control.
Siska takes a little break here. Pong wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Siska is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Siska working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pong has gone for a leg lock! Siska slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pong's guard.

Pong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Siska defends well.

I would just about give that final round to Jonny Siska.
I've got Siska winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
