The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jitsu throws a poor cross that misses

Joe Jitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deng lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jitsu at a distance.
Deng has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Deng there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jitsu misses with a body kick.
Deng scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Deng misses with a wild combination.
Jitsu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jitsu gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jitsu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Deng.
Jitsu should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Deng scores with a nice right hand.
Deng throws a hook to the side of Jitsu's head but Jitsu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Deng uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jitsu.

and Deng counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jitsu's guard now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Deng knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jitsu on the ground.

Jitsu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Deng has his hands clasped together but Jitsu extends an breaks Deng's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jitsu.
