The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vegata closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wollsey did well to prevent Vegata getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wollsey is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Wollsey tries to reverse the position but Vegata maintains control.

Wollsey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vegata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wollsey has managed to get both his arms back between Vegata's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vegata bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wollsey's guard.

A close round but Antonio Vegata will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vegata shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wollsey's guard.

Vegata is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Wollsey still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Wollsey has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
