The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts looks to land a combination but Misuki avoids it well.
Roberts throws a head kick that misses

and Misuki counters with a head kick that drops Roberts to the mat! Roberts scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Misuki pulls guard.

Misuki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roberts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Roberts tries to hold on but Misuki pushes him away.

Misuki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Roberts manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Misuki could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Misuki just content to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roberts can do anything to dispel that myth.

Misuki has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Misuki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Roberts is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Misuki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Misuki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Roberts can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

It looks like Jake Roberts has been cut.
Misuki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
