The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Yarrod. That snapped Hickey's head back.
Yarrod throws a series of punches but Hickey avoids them all with ease.

Hickey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yarrod sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hickey somewhat.
Yarrod moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Neil Yarrod is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yarrod looks to land a combination. Hickey sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hickey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yarrod's waist but Yarrod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hickey off to one side.

The fighters circle momentarily. Yarrod darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Yarrod makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hickey shoots in looking for a takedown. Yarrod tries to sprawl out of it but Hickey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yarrod manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hickey. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Hickey gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Yarrod gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
