Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deep Fryer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akbar Hussein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Deep Fryer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Akbar Hussein!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hussein looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Hussein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fryer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hussein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hussein trying to control the position from guard on top but Fryer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hussein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hussein is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hussein looking to sit in guard and control but Fryer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fryer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hussein swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hussein should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fryer can't keep his opponent in guard - Hussein advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hussein slips a nice elbow through Fryer's hands, connecting with Fryer's forehead.

Hussein is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fryer defends it well.
Fryer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fryer is looking to escape.

Hussein is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fryer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hussein.

Deep Fryer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fryer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hussein but Hussein pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Deep Fryer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hussein goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fryer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hussein's guard! Nice work there by Fryer!

Fryer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hussein is trying to control the position but Fryer postures up.

Hussein has his foot on Fryer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fryer works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deep Fryer will probably get the nod.

Fryer wants to advance to full mount but Hussein doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

We're going to have a standup here because Deep Fryer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hussein throws a body punch but Fryer moves out of range.
Hussein defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fryer.
Fryer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hussein.
Hussein closes the distance and clinches up with Fryer, looking for a takedown. Hussein pushes Fryer against the cage but Fryer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fryer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Fryer feints and as Hussein raises his hands in defense, Fryer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Deep Fryer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fryer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
