Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neil Yarrod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan McMasters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yarrod comes to the cage accompanied by Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer. Jonathan McMasters has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMasters darts in trying to clinch
and Yarrod counters with a left and a right that stings McMasters.
McMasters tries to clinch but Yarrod moves away
and Yarrod counters with a stiff right hand.
McMasters is looking to clinch.
McMasters closes the distance but Yarrod moves to the side
and Yarrod counters with a three punch combo that has McMasters backing up. McMasters nods at Yarrod to acknowledge the strikes.
Yarrod tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McMasters was well out of range. Poor timing from Yarrod.
Yarrod avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yarrod checks a leg kick.
Yarrod thuds a left hand into McMasters's body.
McMasters tries to clinch but Yarrod is having none of it.
McMasters tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Yarrod counters with a stiff right hand.
Yarrod looks for the body kick but McMasters saw that one coming.

McMasters closes the distance looking to clinch
and Yarrod counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McMasters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yarrod circles away from the clinch attempt
and Yarrod makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yarrod fails to land with a series of punches.
Yarrod throws the kick towards the body but McMasters avoids it.
Yarrod keeps the fight on the outside.

McMasters clinches up with Yarrod and pushes him back against the cage.

McMasters jumps guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Yarrod throws an elbow that misses. McMasters uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yarrod's guard. Nice move by McMasters!

Yarrod is working an open guard so McMasters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

McMasters scores with a head kick. Yarrod tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McMasters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yarrod swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McMasters is looking to clinch.
McMasters fails in his attempt to clinch.
McMasters dodges the punch combination from Yarrod.
Yarrod walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McMasters checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Yarrod tests McMasters's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Yarrod keeps the fight on the outside.
McMasters wants to clinch.
McMasters doesn't manage to clinch there - Yarrod circles away.

Yarrod wants to land a leg kick but McMasters is out of range.
McMasters tries to clinch up
and Yarrod connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McMasters throws a shot from downtown. Yarrod moves away and avoids it.

McMasters has Yarrod up against the cage in a clinch.
McMasters misses with an elbow strike.
McMasters tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McMasters connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like Neil Yarrod has been cut.
McMasters is trying to drag Yarrod to the mat but Yarrod just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A nice glancing elbow lands by McMasters.

McMasters misses with a punch to the body.
McMasters scores a nice knee to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McMasters tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Yarrod's elbow.

Yarrod is breathing heavily.
McMasters comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McMasters unloads a knee to the mid-section. Yarrod lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McMasters throws a powerful right kick. Yarrod tried to block low but the kick was high! Yarrod was taken right off of his feet! McMasters jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Jonathan McMasters spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
