The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera misses with a wild combination.
Barrera shoots in for a takedown but Rivaldo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rivaldo misses with a double jab
and Barrera counters with a two punch combo.
Barrera throws a leg kick but Rivaldo sees it coming and moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Rivaldo blocks the leg kick.
Rivaldo slips a jab from Barrera.
Barrera lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rivaldo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barrera paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rivaldo fails to land with a series of punches.
Barrera clobbers Rivaldo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Rivaldo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barrera manages to avoid it.
Rivaldo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Barrera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Barrera throws a left that rocks Rivaldo and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Barrera dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Rivaldo regain composure!

Rivaldo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rivaldo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Barrera couldn't care less - he's delighted!
