The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olofsson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diccico to the mat! Diccico manages to get full guard.
Olofsson wants to control from the top but Diccico keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Olofsson lands a nice short elbow.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lars Olofsson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Diccico tries to clinch up

and Olofsson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Diccico wants to get back to striking at distance but Olofsson won't allow it.
Diccico is pressed up against the cage. Olofsson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Diccico down to the mat. Diccico avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Olofsson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diccico is fending him off so far but Olofsson persists. Nope, Diccico circles away and we're back to standing.

Olofsson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Diccico is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Olofsson shoots for a takedown but Diccico saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Olofsson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Diccico has his foot on Olofsson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olofsson works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Patrick Diccico.
