Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nazz Smooth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Dddddd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smooth comes to the cage accompanied by Breathe. Joseph Dddddd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joseph Dddddd!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smooth connects with a nice looking jab.
Dddddd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nazz Smooth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smooth stuffs the takedown.

Smooth scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dddddd is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Dddddd's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Smooth wants to control but Dddddd is keeping him busy.

Smooth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dddddd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dddddd pulls Smooth in close to prevent any damage.

Dddddd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smooth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dddddd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smooth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smooth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dddddd wriggles free and stands up.
Dddddd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smooth but Smooth pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nazz Smooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Dddddd.
Smooth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Smooth drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dddddd trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Smooth prevents Dddddd from getting back to his feet.
Dddddd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smooth's guard.
Dddddd wants to stand but Smooth has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dddddd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smooth looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dddddd is one step ahead there.
Smooth utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dddddd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smooth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dddddd is looking to work some ground and pound but Smooth has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dddddd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smooth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dddddd on the ground.
Smooth wants to sweep here but Dddddd controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dddddd is looking to advance position but Smooth has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Dddddd dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Smooth jabs at Dddddd's body.
Dddddd shoots for a double leg takedown but Smooth sprawls well. He's pushed Dddddd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smooth connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Some wild striking there from Smooth.
Dddddd shoots in for a takedown but Smooth shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smooth stalks Dddddd and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dddddd's face. Dddddd staggers backwards, shaken.
Dddddd on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dddddd doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smooth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nazz Smooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Dddddd.
Dddddd shoots in but no luck this time.
Dddddd fails to land the takedown.
Dddddd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smooth counters with a head kick.
Smooth throws a nice looking combination but Dddddd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dddddd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smooth tries to avoid it but Dddddd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smooth to the ground. Smooth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dddddd shoots in looking for a takedown. Smooth tries to sprawl out of it but Dddddd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smooth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smooth takes a swing at Dddddd's ribcage but misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dddddd.

The fighters are battling for position here. Dddddd manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joseph Dddddd hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Smooth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smooth wants it to stay on the feet.
Nazz Smooth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Smooth closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dddddd quickly recovers to half guard.
Dddddd is in trouble now - Smooth has advanced to mount!
Smooth tries to control but Dddddd wriggling away.
Smooth scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Dddddd tries to lock up and control but Smooth gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Smooth throws a body kick that misses.
Dddddd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smooth pinned against the cage. Smooth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smooth keeps Dddddd at a distance using the push kick.
Dddddd is trying desperately to land a takedown but Smooth is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Dddddd.
Smooth scores with a jab. Dddddd acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smooth connects with a leg kick. Dddddd looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Smooth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dddddd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dddddd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smooth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Joseph Dddddd has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dddddd wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smooth, who protects the arm well.

Smooth is trying to control Dddddd's posture but Dddddd avoids it.
Smooth throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Smooth is looking for a sweep.
Smooth manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Dddddd is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smooth defends it well.

I would just about give that final round to Joseph Dddddd.
