PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Ritch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Jockson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jockson has chosen Can't Be Touched as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ollie Ritch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rampage Jockson!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jockson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jockson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ritch throws a big shot that misses.
Ritch lands a glancing blow to the side of Jockson's head.
Jockson blocks a jab.
Ritch misses with an uppercut

and Jockson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ritch's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jockson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ritch looking for a sweep. Not yet Ritch, not yet.

Ritch uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jockson has time to react.

and Jockson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jockson blocks a head kick by Ritch.

Ritch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jockson.
Ritch throws out a loose jab but Jockson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ollie Ritch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritch throws a hook but Jockson avoids it easily.
Jockson jabs Ritch right on the nose. Ritch blinks but takes it well.
The fighters circling - Ritch throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ritch darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Ritch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ritch throws a nice looking combination but Jockson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ritch is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Jockson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ritch lands a nice hook to Jockson's body. Jockson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Jockson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rampage Jockson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ritch feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jocksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ollie Ritch.
I think Ritch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
