Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Nomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nomo comes to the cage accompanied by Down Rodeo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jong II pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jong II digs a good hook to Nomo's body.
Nomo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jong II as he avoids it easily.

Jong II closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nomo to the mat! Nomo manages to get full guard.
Jong II must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jong II decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nomo to his feet.
Jong II moves in looking to clinch but Nomo pushes him off.

Nomo gets caught flat footed, as Jong II shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Nomo has his foot on Jong II's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jong II works his way back into a safe position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jong II is keen to just control but Nomo is a slippery customer.

Nomo is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jong II pulls his head out easily.

Jong II drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jong II jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jong II stands and throws Nomo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Nomo pivots and extends the arm, Jong II falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Nomo! Well done that man!
