Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tohino Cerezo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tohino Cerezo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tohino Cerezo!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerezo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Davis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cerezo lands with a hook. Davis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cerezo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Davis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cerezo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Davis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Davis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Davis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Cerezo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cerezo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We're going to have a standup here because Jon Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Davis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cerezo.
Davis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cerezo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis.
Davis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Davis swings widly with a right hand
and Cerezo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Cerezo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cerezo lands a jab to the nose.
Cerezo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Davis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cerezo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cerezo counters with a series of strikes. Davis will be more careful next time no doubt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Davis swings for the body but Cerezo moves out of range.
Cerezo is working the combinations to good effect here.

Nice uppercut there from Cerezo.
Cerezo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cerezo throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease.
Cerezo misses with a wild combination.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cerezo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tohino Cerezo dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Davis takes one on the button.
Cerezo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Cerezo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Davis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Davis misses with a left hand
and Davis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cerezo defending well as Davis loads up on a big left hand.
Cerezo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tohino Cerezo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cerezo tries a head kick but it misses.

Jon Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Davis throws a looping overhand right but Cerezo ducks down to avoid it.
Cerezo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Davis eats them both and turns towards Cerezo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Jon Davis has been cut.
Cerezo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Davis throws a leg kick
and Cerezo counters with a straight right hand.
Cerezo misses with a few strikes there.

Cerezo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cerezo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Cerezo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cerezo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Davis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cerezo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Cerezo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Cerezo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Davis thinking.
Cerezo jabs Davis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cerezo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively.
Cerezo lands an overhand right.

A swing and a miss from Davis.
Some wild striking there from Cerezo.
Cerezo thuds a left hand into Davis's body.
Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cerezo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davis misses with a straight left.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice body punch from Cerezo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tohino Cerezo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Jon Davis's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Davis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cerezo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cerezo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Davis backs up against the cage.
Cerezo lands a jab-cross combination.
Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Cerezo which made him look bad.

and Cerezo counters with a stiff right hand.
Cerezo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Cerezo lands with a nice body punch.
Cerezo works over Davis's head and body with a nice combination.
Cerezo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively.
Davis throws a lazy uppercut
and Cerezo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davis looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Jon Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Davis throws a lazy uppercut
and Cerezo counters with a left and a right that stings Davis.
Tohino Cerezo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Davis misses with an uppercut
and Cerezo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cerezo looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.

Davis misses with an uppercut
and Cerezo counters with a series of strikes. Davis will be more careful next time no doubt.

Cerezo cracks Davis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cerezo lands a nice hook to Davis's body. Davis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Cerezo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Tohino Cerezo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davis throws a lazy uppercut
and Cerezo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Davis misses with a looping right.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tohino Cerezo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cerezo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
