Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Professor Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Tweedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweedy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hard Act To Follow. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Professor Chaos !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Tweedy!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tweedy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tweedy feints a jab promting Chaos to slip. Tweedy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Chaos slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
No luck for Chaos with that takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Tweedy as Chaos shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Professor Chaos . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tweedy slaps away a takedown attempt from Chaos , before circling back to the center of the mat.

Chaos feints and as Tweedy raises his hands in defense, Chaos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tweedy is on top in guard.
Chaos is pulling down on Tweedy's head to control his posture.
Chaos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tweedy manages to get himself to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tweedy postures up in Chaos 's guard and throws a big left but Chaos blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tweedy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chaos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chaos tries to get out of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tweedy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chaos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tweedy has Chaos in his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tweedy trying to keep a closed guard but Chaos is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Professor Chaos will probably get the nod.

Tweedy pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chaos back to the cage. Tweedy follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Chaos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tweedy swivels and escapes.
Chaos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tweedy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chaos was well out of range. Poor timing from Tweedy.

and Chaos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tweedy won't be happy with that.

Chaos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tweedy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tweedy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chaos connects with a decent elbow.
Chaos cracks Tweedy with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Tweedy gets back to half guard.
Chaos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chaos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tweedy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Chaos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Chaos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Professor Chaos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Professor Chaos dominated that second round.
That's time! Chaos 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Tweedy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chaos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ben Tweedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chaos blocks a low kick nicely.
Chaos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tweedy is fending him off so far but Chaos persists. Nope, Tweedy circles away and we're back to standing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chaos connects with a nice short shot to Tweedy's temple.

Chaos looking to sit in guard and control but Tweedy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Professor Chaos showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chaos , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
