Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Silvestry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Gambler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvestry comes to the cage accompanied by Street Fighter. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonny Gambler!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvestry shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gambler manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gambler throws his legs up looking for a submission but Silvestry uses it to pass to side control.

Gambler dodges the ground and pound from Silvestry.
Silvestry misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Gambler is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silvestry is controlling him well.

Silvestry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silvestry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gambler is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silvestry off and has taken his back!
Silvestry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silvestry just trying to survive but Gambler is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Gambler doesn't have the hooks in and Silvestry manages to turn into his guard.

Gambler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silvestry defends well.

Gambler leaves Silvestry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silvestry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gambler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gambler misses with a looping left.
Silvestry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gambler but Gambler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Silvestry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Silvestry counters by clinching up.

Silvestry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Silvestry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silvestry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gambler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silvestry somewhat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silvestry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silvestry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

What can Gambler do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Gambler is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.
Gambler throws a nice looking combination but Silvestry bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silvestry closes the distance and pushes Gambler back into the cage.
Gambler is breathing heavily.

Silvestry breaks the clinch.

Gambler swings for the body but Silvestry moves out of range.

Silvestry fails with a takedown attempt.
Silvestry scores with a head kick. Gambler tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Silvestry lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gambler takes a step back to recover.
A head kick from Silvestry lands but Gambler takes it in his stride.
A jab from Gambler finds it's way through Silvestry's defenses.

Silvestry moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silvestry decides to pull guard.
Silvestry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Silvestry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silvestry is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gambler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Silvestry wants to control the pace but Gambler is squirming around nicely.

Silvestry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Silvestry loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gambler scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Silvestry land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Silvestry stands and salutes the crowd.
