Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Breaksiron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Foran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foran has chosen Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

XTREME PWNAGE: Down Under!


Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Breaksiron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieran Foran!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foran misses with a combination

so Breaksiron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Breaksiron wants to control from the top but Foran keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Breaksiron's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Breaksiron trying to control but Foran is working from the bottom.
Breaksiron sitting in guard here, content to control.
Breaksiron has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Breaksiron drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Breaksiron jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Foran is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Foran working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Breaksiron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Breaksiron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foran is trying to control the position but Breaksiron postures up.

Breaksiron drops back, looking for a kneebar! Foran looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Foran looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Foran!

Breaksiron regains full guard. Nicely done.

Breaksiron controls Foran momentarily but Foran frees himself.
Foran missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Foran trying to control the position from guard on top but Breaksiron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Breaksiron is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Breaksiron wants to sweep here but Foran controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Foran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Breaksiron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Foran wants to control from the top but Breaksiron keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Breaksiron seems keen to control Foran's posture.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kieran Foran wasn't active enough on the ground.
Foran pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Breaksiron fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Foran scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Breaksiron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Foran as he avoids it easily.

and Breaksiron counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Foran not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Breaksiron with the ground and pound but Foran uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Foran tries to roll over but Breaksiron keeps him under control.

Breaksiron is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foran escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Breaksiron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Breaksiron counters with a shoot takedown. Foran fights it but they end up in guard.

Breaksiron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Breaksiron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Foran can't do much from the bottom here.

Breaksiron working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Check out the look on Breaksiron's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Foran takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Breaksiron advances to full mount.
Breaksiron lands a big shot there that rocks Foran but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Breaksiron jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Foran is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Foran and Breaksiron has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Breaksiron goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Foran rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Breaksiron's guard! Nice work there by Foran!

Breaksiron is pulling down on Foran's head to control his posture.
Breaksiron is trying to control the position but Foran postures up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Breaksiron wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Foran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Breaksiron closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foran throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Foran throws a series of punches but Breaksiron moves out of range.
Foran throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Breaksiron counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Breaksiron.

Breaksiron lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Breaksiron looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Foran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Breaksiron is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Breaksiron is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Foran is just riding it out for now. Breaksiron eventually gives up the hold.

Breaksiron seems to be looking for submissions.

Breaksiron slips a nice elbow through Foran's hands, connecting with Foran's forehead.

Foran is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Breaksiron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
