Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Grimly Fiendish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mac Shitstack!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiendish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shitstack's waist but Shitstack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fiendish off to one side.
Shitstack throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fiendish fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fiendish misses with an uppercut
and Fiendish takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grimly Fiendish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fiendish swings for the body but Shitstack moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Shitstack. No joy for Fiendish on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimly Fiendish. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shitstack throws a leg kick but Fiendish sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Shitstack dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shitstack throws a shot from downtown. Fiendish moves away and avoids it.
Shitstack throws a nice head kick!
A bone on bone clash there as Fiendish blocks the leg kick.
Shitstack dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fiendish. That did some damage!
Fiendish changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shitstack tries to avoid it but Fiendish manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shitstack to the ground. Shitstack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fiendish takes a jab right on the kisser.

Fiendish scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fiendish throws a strike aimed at the side of Shitstack's head but Shitstack avoids it well.
Shitstack is not content to let Fiendish control the position.

Fiendish tries for a kimura but Shitstack is defending well.
Shitstack tries to escape but Fiendish is in control.
Fiendish with the ground and pound but Shitstack regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Fiendish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fiendish thows a huge punch but Shitstack dodges it nicely.

Fiendish is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shitstack sees it coming and defends easily.
Shitstack is not content to let Fiendish control the position.
Fiendish throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fiendish is taking a breather. Shitstack says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fiendish prevents Shitstack from standing back up.
Shitstack keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Fiendish stops Shitstack from getting back to his feet.
Fiendish throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Shitstack is not content to let Fiendish control the position.
Fiendish missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Fiendish lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fiendish looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fiendish seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shitstack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fiendish thows a huge punch but Shitstack dodges it nicely.
Shitstack wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fiendish is looking for a kimura but Shitstack is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fiendish to get the leverage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shitstack can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shitstack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fiendish.

Shitstack is defending against the submission attempts here by Fiendish.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fiendish looks to land a strike but Shitstack avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grimly Fiendish dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fiendish shoots in looking for a takedown but Shitstack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fiendish's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Shitstack jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Fiendish chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shitstack can pounce on him.
Fiendish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shitstack's waist but Shitstack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fiendish off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shitstack scores with a jab to the head.
Shitstack is looking to slow Fiendish down with leg kicks.
Fiendish misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shitstack.
Fiendish stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shitstack.

Fiendish tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fiendish has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Shitstack is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Fiendish trying to control the position but Shitstack is working away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fiendish is working Shitstack over with some ground and pound from side control.

Fiendish shoots for a double leg takedown but Shitstack sprawls well. He's pushed Fiendish's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shitstack cracks Fiendish with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

A decent looking cross lands there for Shitstack.
Mac Shitstack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fiendish shoots in looking for a takedown. Shitstack tries to sprawl out of it but Fiendish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shitstack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Shitstack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fiendish eats them both and turns towards Shitstack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Shitstack is looking to slow Fiendish down with leg kicks.
Fiendish shoots for a takedown but Shitstack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fiendish takes a jab right on the kisser.
Grimly Fiendish is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Shitstack fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fiendish.
Shitstack lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fiendish fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shitstack avoids it really well and circles away.

Shitstack fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fiendish has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mac Shitstack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Shitstack swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
