Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Guidetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Hamilton!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guidetti scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Guidetti is trying to move to mount but Hamilton reverses beautifully and ends up in Guidetti's guard.
Hamilton trying to control the position from guard on top but Guidetti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guidetti is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Hamilton tries to free his leg and advance position but Guidetti is retaining full guard.
Guidetti pulls Hamilton in to control the position.
Hamilton trying to control but Guidetti is working from the bottom.
Hamilton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hamilton throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hamilton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hamilton showed some decent athleticism there.
Hamilton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Guidetti preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Guidetti wants to control but Hamilton is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Guidetti looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hamilton trying to pass the guard but Guidetti defending well.
Hamilton is trying to control. Guidetti wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Guidetti trying to hold on to Hamilton's head to control him but Hamilton postures up.
Hamilton throwing shots but Guidetti is blocking nicely.
Guidetti wants to control but Hamilton is keeping busy.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hamilton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hamilton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Guidetti fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hamilton to the ground. Guidetti is now in Hamilton's guard.

Hamilton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hamilton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Guidetti controls the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Guidetti stands and throws Hamilton's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hamilton seems a little lost for a moment, as Guidetti dominates the positioning.
Guidetti connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hamilton some visible discomfort.
Hamilton on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Hamilton looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guidetti is chipping away with strikes.
Guidetti creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Guidetti advances to mount.
Guidetti could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Guidetti controlling from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guidetti looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Guidetti dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hamilton is defended easily by Guidetti.
Hamilton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Guidetti counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hamilton won't be happy with that.

Guidetti is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hamilton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Guidetti gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hamilton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Guidetti lets go of the hold and Hamilton can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Guidetti!
