The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verchanko lands with a straight right. Tyler didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Riley Tyler has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Verchanko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Verchanko counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Tyler off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Verchanko follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Tyler was out before he hit the floor.

Ivan Verchanko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
