The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renton catches Couture napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Couture to the canvas!

It looks like Handy Couture has been cut.

Renton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Renton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Renton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Couture is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Renton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Couture's back instead.

Renton working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Renton is working for a rear naked choke. Couture is not defending it well and Renton has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Couture refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Couture's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
