PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Cordo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Mohacsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cordo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is UFC Theme Song. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cordo throws a head kick but Mohacsi moves out of range.
Cordo throws a sloppy head kick and Mohacsi moves out of range easily.
Mohacsi throws a right and a left that Cordo avoids nicely.

Eddy Cordo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mohacsi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cordo as he avoids it easily.
Mohacsi moves in looking to clinch but Cordo pushes him off.

Mohacsi clinches up with Cordo and pushes him back against the cage.

Mohacsi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cordo's half guard.
Cordo is breathing heavily.

Mohacsi decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Mohacsi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cordo to the ground. Mohacsi is now in Cordo's guard.
Cordo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mohacsi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cordo's guard.
Mohacsi looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cordo wants to stand back up but Mohacsi manages to pass into side control.
A lull in the action here.
Cordo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mohacsi has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Mohacsi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mohacsi is working to tighten is grip on Cordo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cordo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mohacsi is really squeezing tight and eventually Cordo passes out! Mohacsi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
