Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ba Lil III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Silk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lil III's guard.
Lil III tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Silk trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lil III's guard.
Lil III is controlling Silk's posture.
Silk sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lil III's guard.
Silk passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lil III can't escape the position.
Silk lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lil III tries to reverse the position but Silk maintains control.
Lil III sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lil III wants to control but Silk is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silk lands a nice short elbow.

Lil III has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silk is working away from the top position though.
Lil III is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silk is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Silk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lil III is just riding it out for now. Silk eventually gives up the hold.

Lil III is looking to control Silk's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lil III avoid being mounted?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lil III swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lil III seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silk for as long as he can get away with.
Silk is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Casey Silk will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lil III throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Silk fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lil III to the ground. Silk is now in Lil III's guard.

Silk wants to control from the top but Lil III keeps moving.
Silk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lil III to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lil III pulls down on the head and he's put Silk to sleep! This one is all over!
