Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gummi Tarzan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Carioca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulo Carioca will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gummi Tarzan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Carioca!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tarzan moves into the clinch.
Carioca tries to break free but Tarzan pushes him back against the cage.
Carioca looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Carioca wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carioca stalls.
Carioca is trying to break free.
Carioca is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Tarzan jumps guard but Carioca turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Carioca has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Tarzan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tarzan shoots in looking for a takedown. Carioca tries to sprawl out of it but Tarzan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carioca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tarzan closes the distance and clinches up with Carioca, looking for a takedown. Tarzan pushes Carioca against the cage but Carioca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gummi Tarzan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Paulo Carioca is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tarzan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tarzan misses with the combination.
Carioca misses with a few strikes there.
Tarzan shoots in but no luck this time.
That kick from Carioca tenderised Tarzan's leg. Tarzan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Carioca goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Both fighters circling a little - Carioca finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Carioca takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Carioca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tarzan darts in and clinches Carioca up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Carioca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carioca lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tarzan tries a head kick but it misses.
Tarzan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carioca as he jumps to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tarzan shoots in and gets a takedown into Carioca's guard.

Tarzan stands up and waves to Carioca to follow him.
Tarzan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carioca but Carioca pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tarzan shoots in and drives through. Carioca sprawls well.
Tarzan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Carioca.
Carioca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Carioca gets caught flat footed, as Tarzan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarzan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Carioca wants to sweep here but Tarzan controlling him for the moment.
Carioca avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Carioca is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tarzan is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carioca looking for a sweep. Not yet Carioca, not yet.
Carioca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tarzan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tarzan postures up.
Tarzan tries to free his leg and advance position but Carioca is retaining full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tarzan throws an elbow that misses. Carioca uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tarzan's guard. Nice move by Carioca!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tarzan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carioca swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carioca lands a high kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carioca scores with a sloppy right hand. Tarzan should have avoided that one.
Tarzan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A shot to the body from Tarzan misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Carioca throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tarzan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paulo Carioca dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Carioca is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Gummi Tarzan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tarzan throws a right hand that Carioca ducks under and follows up with a left that Carioca also avoids with ease.
Tarzan seems to have got his legs back now.
Carioca feints with a jab and clips Tarzan right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Tarzan is sent crashing into the canvas and Carioca leaps in for the kill! Tarzan tries to get to his feet but Carioca is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Tarzan is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Carioca!
Paulo Carioca tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
