Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vash Gregovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Voganoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregovich comes to the cage accompanied by The Blitzkrieg Bop. Voganoff has chosen Nine Inch Nails Every Day is Exactly the Same as his entrance music. Vash Gregovich has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vash Gregovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Voganoff!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Voganoff drags the fight down to the ground.
Gregovich pushes down on Voganoff's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Gregovich trying to mount his opponent but Voganoff defends it.
Gregovich looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gregovich wants to take a breather but Voganoff is having none of it.
Voganoff manages to get to full guard.
Gregovich trying to control the position from guard on top but Voganoff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gregovich is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Voganoff is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gregovich advances position into side control!
Voganoff tries to buck Gregovich off but Gregovich is having none of it.
Gregovich wants to stand but Voganoff is controlling his arm.
Gregovich sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Voganoff is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gregovich trying to control the action but Voganoff is working from the bottom.
Gregovich advances to full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gregovich trying to control but Voganoff is having none of it.
Voganoff tries to hold on but Gregovich pushes him away.
Voganoff is trying to escape the mount.
Voganoff is squirming around, avoiding Gregovich's attempts to control the action.

Gregovich takes Voganoff's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Voganoff is in trouble.
Gregovich is not going to allow Voganoff to sit and survive in this position.
Gregovich trying to control momentarily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Voganoff is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Vash Gregovich just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Voganoff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gregovich tries to avoid it but Voganoff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gregovich to the ground. Gregovich escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Voganoff scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Voganoff passes the guard and advances to mount!
Gregovich is desperately trying to improve his position but Voganoff has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Igor Voganoff will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Gregovich closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gregovich lands in his opponent's guard.
Gregovich wants to control from the top but Voganoff keeps moving.
Voganoff being controlled here, momentarily.
Voganoff tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gregovich has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Voganoff is proving hard to escape from.

Gregovich wants to stand and escape but instead Voganoff has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Voganoff trying to control the position from guard on top but Gregovich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gregovich pulls Voganoff in close to his closed guard and prevents Voganoff from doing any damage or advancing position.
Voganoff wants to control from the top but Gregovich keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gregovich is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Voganoff wants to pass the guard but Gregovich is keeping the position.
Voganoff is looking to advance position but Gregovich has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Gregovich with shots to the head and body - Voganoff looks very uncomfortable down there.

Gregovich trying to control but Voganoff is having none of it.

Gregovich stands up from mount. Strange move.
Gregovich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Voganoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gregovich misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Voganoff.
Gregovich fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Vash Gregovich is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Voganoff rushes Gregovich and presses him up against the cage.
Gregovich just leaning against Voganoff, taking a breather.

Voganoff breaks the clinch.

Voganoff shoots in but no luck this time.
Gregovich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Voganoff counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Gregovich wants to stand but Voganoff is controlling the position.

Gregovich looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Voganoff passes into half guard.
Voganoff passes into side control, despite Gregovich's attempt to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vash Gregovich will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Gregovich misses with a two punch combination.

and Voganoff counters with a single leg into guard. Gregovich didn't expect that.
Voganoff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gregovich is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gregovich decides to return to a standing position.

and Voganoff counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gregovich controls Voganoff momentarily but Voganoff frees himself.
Voganoff takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gregovich is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gregovich wants to stand up but Voganoff has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Gregovich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Voganoff keeps working.
Voganoff gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Voganoff looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gregovich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gregovich gets to his feet. Voganoff looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gregovich tries to land a front kick but Voganoff steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gregovich throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Voganoff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gregovich won't be happy with that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Vash Gregovich just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Voganoff counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gregovich's guard now.
Voganoff is stalling in the full guard.
Voganoff won't allow Gregovich to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gregovich pulls Voganoff in to control the position.

Gregovich has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Voganoff is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gregovich.

And that's the end of the fight!
Igor Voganoff comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Voganoff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
