The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krueger drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Araya is pushing Krueger's head away, looking to escape. Krueger manages to hold on to the position though.

Krueger swings around for an armbar but Araya sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Krueger's guard.

Krueger is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Araya has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Krueger manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Krueger misses with a series of wild punches.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Peter Krueger hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Good leg kick by Araya there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Araya wants to clinch up but Krueger keeps it at a distance.
Araya tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Krueger was well out of range. Poor timing from Araya.

Araya is working an open guard so Krueger takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Krueger shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Araya's guard.
Krueger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
It looks like Krueger might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
