The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Rich is looking for a sweep. Rodriguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rodriguez has eaten all the pies!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rodriguez is trying to buck Rich off.

That was a close round but I would say that Demon Rich will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rich forces Rodriguez back against the cage and clinches.
Rich jumps guard but Rodriguez stands there with Rich around his waist. Rich gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rodriguez lands with a light punch inside.
Rodriguez tries to throw a body punch but Rich avoids it by throwing Rodriguez back against the cage.
Rich tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rich keeps control of Rodriguez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Rich has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rodriguez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Rich is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rich is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rodriguez knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rodriguez for a finish.
