Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun BDown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chiba has chosen Chop Suey as his entrance music. Tetsuo Chiba will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by BDown there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
BDown throws a hook but Chiba blocks it.

BDown has taken the fight to the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on BDown - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A nice right hand lands inside from BDown.
A bit of stalling here from BDown.
Chiba wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
BDown putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Chiba in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Chiba tries to break the clinch but BDown is controlling the position.
BDown lands a shoulder strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
BDown tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Chiba takes a knee right on the jaw!
BDown controlling the action here for a moment.
BDown makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
BDown tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chiba's elbow.
Chiba wants to break free but BDown has control.
BDown lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
BDown scores with a shot to the side of Chiba's head.

BDown is leaning against Chiba and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

BDown has Chiba pressed against the cage, preventing Chiba from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
BDown lands with a short shot to the head.
Chiba blocks the elbow strike.

BDown manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
BDown tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
BDown lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Chiba.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Shogun BDown.
BDown throws a push kick but Chiba slaps the foot to one side.

BDown takes one to the chin there.
Chiba misses with a hook. BDown ducked under it nicely.
Chiba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BDown with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
BDown throws a sloppy head kick
and Chiba counters with a right hand to the body.
BDown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
BDown lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

BDown darts in and clinches Chiba up against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BDown scores with a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! BDown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Whack! BDown lands a heavy head kick that drops Chiba. The ref tackles BDown to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Chiba was done.
