Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Mageramsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Pilgrim!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mageramsky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Mageramsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mageramsky advances to mount.
Pilgrim tries to hold on but Mageramsky postures up.
Mageramsky content just to control the position here.

Mageramsky wants to finish this one by submission but Pilgrim is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mageramsky.
Mageramsky avoids the attempt from Pilgrim to control.

Mageramsky looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Pilgrim really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mageramsky is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pilgrim can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mageramsky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mageramsky wants to control the pace but Pilgrim is squirming around nicely.

You can see the frustration on Pilgrim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mageramsky works to advance to full mount. Pilgrim defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pilgrim wants to control but Mageramsky is having none of it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mageramsky here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Pilgrim wants to improve his position but Mageramsky is controlling well.
Pilgrim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mageramsky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Joseph Mageramsky will probably get the nod.

Mageramsky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pilgrim's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mageramsky, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
