The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen throws a shot from downtown. Evurts moves away and avoids it.
Evurts misses with an uppercut.
A jab lands there for Hansen.
Hansen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Evurts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hansen lands a jab to the head.

Evurts clinches.
Hansen lands a hook that snaps the head of Evurts backwards.
Hansen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Evurtss head.

Hansen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hansen lands a few punches from side control.
Hansen working the strikes but Evurts uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hansen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hansen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Hansen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hansen slips a nice elbow through Evurts's hands, connecting with Evurts's forehead.

Hansen wants to take a breather but Evurts is having none of it.

Evurts is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee warns Evurts that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hansen lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
