With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Anthony Kiedis!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiedis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kiedis looks to land a body kick but Pep moved away.
Pep moves out of range of the body kick.
Kiedis lands with a slapping head kick.
Kiedis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Pep checks a leg kick.
Pep misses with an uppercut.

A clash of legs there as Pep blocks the low kick.
Pep throws the kick towards the body but Kiedis avoids it.
Kiedis scores with a decent looking hook.

Pep swings for the body but Kiedis moves out of range.

Pep throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kiedis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kiedis jumps guard but Pep stands there with Kiedis around his waist. Kiedis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pep's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pep throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kiediss head.
Pep is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kiedis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pep has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pep trying to stall but Kiedis improves his position.

Kiedis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kiedis throws a leg kick which misses Pep's front leg but catches the back leg as Pep tries to avoid it.
Kiedis moves in looking to clinch but Pep pushes him off.

Pep throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kiedis sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Pep walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kiedis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kiedis thuds his right hand into Pep's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Pep lands with an uppercut that bounces Kiedis off the cage and back into range.

Pep paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Pep lands a nice hook to Kiedis's body. Kiedis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Pep fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kiedis has closed the distance and engaged Pep in a clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frankie Pep will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kiedis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pep defends it easily.
Pep wants to control from the top but Kiedis keeps moving.

Kiedis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pep escapes and throws Kiedis's legs to the side, diving into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pep wants to control but Kiedis is keeping him busy.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frankie Pep.
I think Pep has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
