PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alf Hooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Blevins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blevins has chosen i'm proud to be an american as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hooker.
Blevins throws a series of punches but Hooker avoids them all with ease.

Hooker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Blevins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Blevins kicks Hooker off and gets back to his feet.
Hooker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Devon Blevins has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blevins tries to clinch there but Hooker circles away.
Hooker ducks under a wild hook from Blevins.
Blevins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hooker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hooker throws a front kick that sends Blevins stumbling back into the cage.
Hooker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blevins.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hooker.
Blevins looks gassed!
Blevins is looking to clinch but Hooker is avoiding it.
Hooker misses with a head kick.
Blevins throws a big shot that misses.
Devon Blevins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hooker lands a high kick!

Blevins is rocked!
Hooker throws a head kick that misses.
Blevins is still on wobbly legs! Can Hooker finish him?

Blevins darts in and clinches Hooker up against the cage.
Blevins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Blevins is trying to break the clinch but Hooker has him pressed against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Hooker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Blevins blocks it with crossed arms.
A frustrated look appears on Blevins's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blevins doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Blevins misses with a punch on the inside.
Blevins throws a punch but it's blocked by Hooker.
Blevins managing to block the knees to the body from Hooker.
Blevins is trying to break free.
Blevins is trying to break the clinch but Hooker has him pressed against the cage.
Hooker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Blevins wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hooker connects with a knee to the head.
Hooker blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blevins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Hooker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Blevins uses from the top position.
Hooker has a closed guard, preventing Blevins from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hooker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Blevins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Blevins wants to stand and escape but instead Hooker has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hooker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Blevins dives on top into guard.

Hooker has his feet on Blevins's thighs here. He's pushed Blevins off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Blevins screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
