Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ctvrtlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Mehoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Ctvrtlik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Mehoff!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ctvrtlik tries to clinch up
and Mehoff counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Ctvrtlik fails with the takedown
and Mehoff cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mehoff looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mehoff lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mehoff scoring well with a low kick there.
Mehoff lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ctvrtlik shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ctvrtlik misses with a takedown attempt
and Mehoff counters with a solid body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Ctvrtlik. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mehoff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

enabling Mehoff to counter with a crisp jab.
Bob Ctvrtlik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ctvrtlik is breathing heavily.

Mehoff fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ctvrtlik, pushing him back against the cage.
Ctvrtlik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mehoff is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mehoff breaks the clinch.

Mehoff has Ctvrtlik up against the cage in a clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mehoff.

Ctvrtlik has Mehoff pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ctvrtlik pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mehoff tumbling to the mat - Ctvrtlik dives into Mehoff's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ctvrtlik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mehoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mehoff is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ctvrtlik is controlling him.

Mehoff is looking to stand up but Ctvrtlik isn't so interested in that idea.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mehoff can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ctvrtlik wants to get up but he can't break Mehoff's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bob Ctvrtlik just wasn't active enough.
Ctvrtlik tries to close the distance and clinch but Mehoff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ctvrtlik shoots and misses
and Mehoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mehoff. Ctvrtlik does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ctvrtlik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mehoff paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mehoff takes the fight into the clinch.
Ctvrtlik is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mehoff prevents Ctvrtlik from breaking the clinch.
Mehoff creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Mehoff breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ctvrtlik with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mehoff makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Mehoff swats away the attempt to clinch by Ctvrtlik.

and Mehoff counters by moving into the clinch.
Ctvrtlik is trying to drag Mehoff to the mat but Mehoff just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mehoff breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacques Mehoff dominated that round.
That's time! Ctvrtlik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mehoff scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ctvrtlik doesn't seem bothered though.
Mehoff scores with a hook to the body. Ctvrtlik takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ctvrtlik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mehoff counters with a slapping leg kick.

and Mehoff counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ctvrtlik is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ctvrtlik tries for a takedown but Mehoff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fighters circling - Mehoff throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mehoff connects with a leg kick. Ctvrtlik looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ctvrtlik is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Mehoff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ctvrtlik is looking to clinch but Mehoff is avoiding it.
Mehoff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mehoff lands with a nice body punch.

Mehoff drops Ctvrtlik with a beautiful combination! Ctvrtlik stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mehoff is looking for the KO!

It looks like Bob Ctvrtlik has been cut.
Mehoff is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ctvrtlik rather than just go for the knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mehoff Throws a clean left jab. Mehoff Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Ctvrtlik's chin! Ctvrtlik crumbles to the ground and Mehoff follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Mehoff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jacques Mehoff!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Jacques Mehoff waved his t-shirt featuring Beast Body's logo in front of the cameras.
