The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Relva circles away.

Relva shoots in and drives through. Gomes sprawls well.

Gomes tries to close the distance and clinch but Relva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gomes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gomes is looking to regain half guard here but Relva keeps moving and retains side control.
