These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadows closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gregerson circles away.
Shadows scores with a three punch combo!
Gregerson throws a head kick that misses.
Shadows tries to bum rush Gregerson with a series of wild strikes but Gregerson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gregerson throws a head kick but Shadows moves out of range.
Max Shadows seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shadows misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shadows shoots for a double leg takedown but Gregerson sprawls well. He's pushed Shadows's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shadows is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
