Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richie Strath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Twilight Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Strath might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Parallel Universe. Saga has chosen You are going to the Twilight of your Career as his entrance music. Twilight Saga has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Strath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Twilight Saga!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strath misses with a takedown attempt

and Saga counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Strath!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Saga takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Strath tries to hold on but Saga postures up.
Saga sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Let's hope that Saga has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Strath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Strath can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saga controls the pace.
Saga has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Twilight Saga has got the better of the ground game so far.

Saga manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Strath on his heels. He'll look to pass Strath's guard now, I'm sure.

Saga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Strath's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Strath shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Saga as he jumps to the side.

A looping hook to the body misses from Saga. Strath does a little dance to reset his feet.
Saga pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Strath gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Saga controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Saga must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Saga postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Saga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Twilight Saga is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Twilight Saga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Saga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
