Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agung Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Roode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Agung Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Roode!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kang gets caught napping as Roode dives in and scores a takedown. Kang manages to retain guard.

Kang looking for a guillotine here but Roode defends easily.
Kang thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Roode is fighting to break Kang's control of his arms but Kang is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kang throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kang will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Roode with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kang on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kang tries to get out of the position.

Roode postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kang is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Roode, into his guard.

Roode not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kang wants to control from the top but Roode keeps moving.

Roode has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Roode keeping moving, preventing Kang from controlling successfully.

Roode had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kang defends it easily.
Kang controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roode swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kang wants to control from the top but Roode keeps moving.
Kang stopping the sweep attempt from Roode.
Kang seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Agung Kang.

Kang darts in and clinches Roode up against the ropes.

Kang wants the takedown. Roode is fighting it off but Kang persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Roode's guard against the ropes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roode throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Roode working for a triangle but Kang defends it easily.
Roode wants to hit a switch here but Kang passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Roode there!

Roode tries to hold on but Kang pushes him away.
Roode slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Roode looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Kang is looking for a kimura but Roode is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kang to get the leverage.
Kang is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Roode is staying active underneath Kang, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kang prevents Roode from improving his position.

Kang is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Roode is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kang scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Roode is looking for a sweep. Kang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Roode is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Roode is defending against the submission attempts here by Kang.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kang is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kang wants to control but Roode is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roode shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Roode wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kang, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kang sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kang is looking to improve his position.

Roode is looking for a kimura but Kang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roode to get the leverage.

Roode is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roode.
Roode is breathing heavily.
Roode is looking to advance position but Kang won't allow it.

Kang actively working from the bottom here.
Kang moves into full guard.

Roode would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bobby Roode has got the better of the ground game so far.

Roode is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That was a close second round but I would say that Agung Kang will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kang closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kang lands in his opponent's guard.
Roode wants to sweep here but Kang controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kang slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kang looking to sit in guard and control but Roode gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Roode is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kang is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kang has escaped and now he's on top!

Roode working for submissions but it's allowed Kang to get to half guard.

Kang is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roode is just riding it out for now. Kang eventually gives up the hold.
Roode is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kang stops Roode from getting back to his feet.

Kang seems to be looking for submissions.
Roode wants to improve his position but Kang is controlling well.
Roode takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Roode is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kang pulls his head out easily.

Kang is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kang looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Roode with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Roode is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kang works his foot free and advances to mount.

Kang wants to control the pace but Roode is squirming around nicely.
Roode takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Roode is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kang jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Roode is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Roode and Kang has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kang lands a nice forearm strike.
Kang grinds an elbow into Roode's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kang in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Bobby Roode has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Roode is trying to improve his position.
Roode is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Kang in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kang tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kang cracks Roode with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Roode is trying to get back to half guard.
Kang taking a breather here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kang is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Roode looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kang gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Roode is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kang lets go of the hold and Roode can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Agung Kang!
During a confident post fight interview, Agung Kang thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
