Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane has chosen Rob Zombie - What as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Quentin Cane!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from dos Santos.

Nice sprawl there from dos Santos as Cane shoots in.
dos Santos throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cane takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Cane moves out of range as dos Santos strikes.
dos Santos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
dos Santos throws a wild body kick that Cane sees coming a mile off.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cane takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice uppercut lands for dos Santos. That snapped Cane's head back.
dos Santos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Cane or perhaps it was just good defense by dos Santos which made him look bad.

dos Santos cracks Cane with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Geronimo dos Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quentin Cane.
Cane tries to score a power double leg takedown but dos Santos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cane somewhat.
Cane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cane moves forwards but dos Santos connects with a nice, crisp jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
dos Santos is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cane's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cane tries to bench press dos Santos off him but dos Santos keeps the position.
Cane is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on dos Santos's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Cane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but dos Santos pulls his head out easily.

Cane manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Cane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cane winds up and cracks dos Santos with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Cane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as dos Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
dos Santos controls Cane momentarily but Cane frees himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now dos Santos is on top in guard.

Cane is looking for a triangle but dos Santos pushes his legs off easily.

Cane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and dos Santos defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells dos Santos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Cane is trying desperately to land a takedown but dos Santos is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cane.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

dos Santos softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Cane is out cold! dos Santos jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
