The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle throws a hook but Sauna blocks it.
Angle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sauna's corner calls for a 1-2. Sauna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Angle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sauna moves away.

Sauna is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Angle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sauna sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Angle looks up at the clock and then as Sauna takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Angle smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sauna can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sauna is looking to regain half guard here but Angle keeps moving and retains side control.
