Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between maximus meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikkit Snorven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

meridius fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Snorven sprawls well initially but meridius persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Snorven wants to get back to full guard.
meridius wants to pass to mount but Snorven is defending the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Snorven swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by meridius.
meridius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snorven tries to avoid it but meridius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snorven to the ground. Snorven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
