Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Jaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Quim!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa misses with a head kick.
Jaa moves in looking to clinch but Quim pushes him off.
Quim throws a lazy right hand but Jaa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jaa ducks under a wild hook from Quim.
Jaa throws a nice outside leg kick.
Quim scores with a takedown into Jaa's guard.
Quim in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quim working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jaa wants to stand and escape but Quim is having none of it.
Quim throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jaa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jaa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Quim.
Jaa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quim on the ground.
Jaa is looking to stand up but Quim isn't so interested in that idea.
Quim stands up over Jaa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quim cracks Jaa with a solid left hand.
Quim stops Jaa from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Quim keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jaa's head.
Quim scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Quim scoring with punches to the head and body.
Jaa is rocked!
Quim landing with the ground and pound.
Oh Jaa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Quim arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Jaa's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jimmy Quim!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Jimmy Quim waved his t-shirt featuring Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire's logo in front of the cameras.
