Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Pink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies/Drowning pool. Pink is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mitsa. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 41 - 1, fighting out of London, Mister Pink!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pink misses with a takedown attempt

and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pink's guard now.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pink is keeping the position for now.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Pink is keeping the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pink can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Pink is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kirk Gracie.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Pink changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Pink manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gracie stuffs the takedown attempt from Pink. Pink gets slowly back to his feet.
Kirk Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister Pink.

Pink looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Pink persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.
Pink shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well.

Gracie throws the left hand but Pink avoids the punch easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie stops Pink from getting back to his feet.
Gracie passes to full mount!

Pink is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Gracie locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Pink is forced to tap!
