PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greene comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger rap by Andre Nikatina. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete misses with a two punch combination.
Pete throws a low kick but Greene moves out of range easily.
Great Pete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pete throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pete throws a looping overhand right but Greene ducks down to avoid it.
Greene avoids the head kick by Pete.
Pete tries to clinch but Greene moves out of range.
Pete tries a head kick but it misses.
Pete throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

It looks like Frank Greene has been cut.
Pete closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Greene lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pete at a distance.
Pete throws a leg kick but Greene checks it.
Greene connects with a single shot there.
Greene thuds a left hand into Pete's body.
Pete gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pete's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Greene connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pete scrambles back to his feet.
Greene lands a really nice looking cross but Pete seems unphased.
Greene circles away from the clinch attempt.
Greene connects with a jab.
Pete tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Greene was well out of range. Poor timing from Pete.
Pete takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Greene bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pete's head backwards.
Pete tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greene sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pete somewhat.

Greene catches Pete with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Pete has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pete there as he acknowledges the shot.

The fight stays on the outside here - Pete looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pete throws a shot from downtown. Greene moves away and avoids it.
Greene is working the combinations to good effect here.
Pete throws a hook to the side of Greene's head but Greene sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Greene connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pete momentarily.
Pete with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Greene to score with a decent uppercut.
Greene connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pete's hands.
Pete takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Greene is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Greene takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Greene uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Greene cracks a nice hook into Pete's ribs.
Pete takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Greene pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pete back to the cage. Greene follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pete walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pete takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Greene lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pete moves forwards but Greene connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pete swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Greene counter with a right hand.

Pete is still on wobbly legs! Can Greene finish him?
Greene lands a slapping body shot.
Pete seems to have recovered his senses.
Pete misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Greene stalks Pete and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pete's face. Pete staggers backwards, shaken.
Greene lands a jab.
Greene throws out a powerful jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A combination from Pete does no damage.
Pete takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pete throws a body punch but Greene moves out of range.
Pete shoots in but Greene avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pete throws a sloppy head kick and Greene moves out of range easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Greene, as that shot connected.
Greene connects with a looping right hand.
Greene moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Greene. That snapped Pete's head back.
Pete takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pete wants to slow Greene down by chopping away at his legs.
Pete fails with an attempt to clinch.
Greene throws a combination. Pete tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Greene lands a jab to Pete's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pete gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pete is breathing heavily.
Greene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pete.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pete might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Greene has got the better of the exchanges.

Greene looks to land a combination. Pete sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Greene feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Petes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Pete takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Pete shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Greene cracks Pete with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Greene lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Greene fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Greene lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Greene is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pete can do to turn this around?

Pete throws a wild hook but Greene just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Pete gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Greene raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
